Welcome to the The Salgado Chronicles web site.
We are a fun-loving bunch...bunch of what? I don't know. But we are a bunch!
We started our chronicles in the beautiful state of Idaho, many moons ago. There, with the aid of the honorable Judge Mildred McClure, we became a family.
Though sailing in the mountains isn't easy, the Navy found a way to keep us in Idaho for a few years, long enough to create little spud Jesse.
All wonderful things must come to an end, and so did our time in the land of fire and snow. Next stop, Rainland!
We then traveled west over the mountains to the land of Lutefisk and Killer Whales...wonderful Washington State. There, the head of the household disappeared under the water for three months at a crack, leaving mom with baby spud, who would soon have a little sister. Baby Julia arrived to keep her brother company, and a few years were spent in the land of perpetual rain. This too, had to end, so we traveled to the opposite extreme...the land of thunder, lightning , and sun.
We were Florida bound! Heat, humidity, thunder and lightening. And bugs. And geckos. And beaches. And a few visits to Disney. Interestingly enough, we had more visitors to our humble abode in Florida than any other place we lived. Hmmmm...I wonder why?
Florida too, was destined to become a faded memory. But yes! Life does exist after the Navy! We were Flatland bound! Now we reside in the midst of endless rows of corn. Rows and rows and rows of corn. And rows. Sometimes we glow (just kidding) from Paul's place of employment, but life in the corn is ...well, corny. Now the kids are almost all grow'd up, and we get to look forward to them going off and starting chronicles of their own.
Thanks for stopping by!
