During the Month of May a Display sat in the Coal City Public Library advertising our Special Events, especially the 23rd Annual Cabin Festival.
We also put a plug in for our Gift Shop.

The program meeting for April, 2007 was a lesson in Rag Rugs.
How do you make the fabric strips?
and how are they connected?
Jo F. demonstrated cutting apart old jeans to use for strips. Susie J. brough a rotary cutter and mat and before we knew it we had quite a stack of strips. We were so involved we didn't stop to discuss warping the loom. That will be for another day.

Thanks to Lyondell,
the prairie kids have returned to the prairie. Lyondell volunteers cut
out the kids from stencils drawn by Susie Johnson and put a base coat
on them during Global Care Day 2006 -- 2 sets as it were.
Barb Kursell and Susie Johnson had a great time painting the kids and it was fun to see the children at Cabin Fest having pictures made with them.
