It is with deep regret that I inform the YFC Fan Club that our Web Site vendor is shutting down on December 31st after 14 years of service. Another vendor, XNET, offered to pick up our email addy but none of the Web site. Yikes! Please download as many pictures as you can before December 31st. I will be providing the band with a DVD containing all of the Fan Club's Web site data files in early January for them to post on their site. I has been a pleasure following the band over the years and maintaining this tribute site. A big THANK YOU to YFC for all of the P-A-R-T-Y times over the years! Love you guys! - Scottie
Blue Chip Hotel & Casino! The Band kicked it into HIGH GEAR at the Blue Chip Hotel & Casino over the weekend. The base and lead guitars headed by Dave Bojan and Jeff Bradford joined Krissi & Katie with their wireless gear out-and-about on the dance floor! Kudos guys... nice work!
Krissi danced on the Rocks Lounge "smoking" tables (~wink~) while family members (GO KIM!) joined in to support the celebration of Tom Wood's birthday. Happy Birthday Tom! Our blessings and sincere sympathies go out to the Wood's family on the recent loss of a family member.
The band played new song "So What" by Pink, which caught me pleasantly by surprise. I laced the PhotoShow with that tune and mixed the segments as a holiday gift to the band. If you haven't heard "So What" by Pink then get out there and watch the PhotoShow of the rocking P-A-R-T-Y that was had by YFC fans over the weekend! Oh, be careful IT'S AdDiCtInG! OMG. THANKS YARD FULLA CARS FOR KEEPING IT FRESH - YOU ROCK!
Katie charmed the crowd and warmed their heart with renditions of "Your Song" and "Finger Tips" from her debut CD. News of her new full length CD spread through the crowd quickly! We are anxiously awaiting the CD's arrival! YES!
A lot of love and support goes out to Darryn tonight for having to play in a 911 bullet-proof security enclosure! We love you Darryn, you're the BEST! And thanks for the superb percussion, one time we thought you shot a gun! That was cute. Darryn kept everything tight and was right on cue for the "funny" parts of the show as well. Drum roll please. The funny side of the show has always been hilarious and was in perfect form. It is so much fun to see the audience giggling over Krissi's jokes. ME INCLUDED! I love going to the shows! *smile*
Rich has come a long way with his guitar/vocals combination. He's a natural up there now having fun while signing his heart out and playing guitar lics with the other guitar players. (Another Duane Allman?) Kudos Rich! You're the MAN!
Okay, back to the show. Jeff continues to change clothes, instruments, and attitude unexpectedly throughtout the show. It's so subtle that most times I get so wrapped up in the show I don't see it until I develop the negatives. *smile* Oh yeah, his HATS shoot in from nowhere constantly too! Thanks Jeff quite the showman.
Dave Bojan is the BEST lead guitarist the band has ever had the pleasure of working with. An instant family member of the band and the Fan Club. He is still trying to figure out the eight member (me) and why I do what I do though. Well, if I didn't do my "lie-on-the-floor" gig with the camera Sunday night I would never have gotten the shot! For the girls in the Fan Club we are working on getting him to raise the hat a bit. *smile* He rocked the house with lics, feeds, and fills like no other cross-over county guy can. Stepping up to the mic each show demonstrates his talent further as his energy soars along with the resounding roar and ovations from the crowd. Quite awesome. GO DAVE!
Doug had fun all night and did great on his new SOLO! A lot of times the audience doesn't know when to cheer for a live musician. They miss the change ups and overlook the solos. I didn't have time to teach them because I was anxious to go gambling (heehee) but I was there rooting for you Doug! NICE JOB, very cool solo!
Fun was had by ALL at this fantastic show. The band, headed by sound guy PAULIE! (BIG SHOUT OUT!) had a great time rocking the house down. And, in closing, let me remind members of the fan club who don't make it past the link at the top of the page, and any fans that saw the band for the 1st time over the weekend. Make it a point to come out and see me dance, I mean see the band play (heehee) at 115 Bourbon Street up in Merrionette Park this Friday, December 19th! Another can of whoop-ass country covers all over again!
